Privacy Policy

Effective June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Canotera Ltd. ("Canotera", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit canotera.com or interact with our platform. We aim to collect only what we need to operate the site and serve customers; we do not sell personal information.

  1. 01Information we collect

We collect three categories of information.

First, information you provide directly — for example when you email hello@canotera.com, submit a contact form, request a demo, or apply to an open role. This typically includes your name, organisation, email address, and any details you choose to share in a message or attachment.

Second, information collected automatically when you load a page on canotera.com — including IP address, browser and operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. We use this only to operate the site, debug errors, and understand aggregate traffic patterns.

Third, information from third-party services we use to run the site (for example, our hosting provider's request logs and our email provider's delivery logs).

  2. 02How we use information

We use the information above to respond to your messages, deliver demos and follow-ups you've requested, evaluate candidates, run and improve canotera.com, and meet legal obligations. We do not use the information to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

  3. 03How we share information

We share information only with vendors that process data on our behalf to operate the site and our business — for example our hosting, email, and analytics providers. Each vendor is bound by a data-processing agreement to use the information only for the services they provide to Canotera.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Canotera, our customers, or others.

  4. 04Cookies and analytics

canotera.com uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies to operate the site. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

If we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool (for example Plausible), this section will name the tool and link to its privacy notice; the tool will collect only aggregated, anonymous usage data and will not set advertising cookies.

  5. 05Data retention

We keep contact and demo enquiries for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any resulting customer relationship, and otherwise as required by law. We keep candidate information for as long as needed to evaluate the application and as required by applicable employment law.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing hello@canotera.com. We will confirm the deletion within a reasonable time, subject to any legal obligation to retain specific records.

  6. 06Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@canotera.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (in most jurisdictions, within 30 days).

EU and UK residents can also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.

  7. 07International transfers

Canotera is incorporated in Israel and our infrastructure is hosted with reputable cloud providers (including Google Cloud). Information you provide may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own. Where we transfer personal information from the EU or UK to other countries, we rely on the safeguards permitted under applicable law, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

  8. 08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password for any account you may create with us and email us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access.

  9. 09Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "effective date" at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes we will provide additional notice (for example, via the contact email associated with your account or a banner on canotera.com) before the changes take effect.
